The Central Utah Writing Project will be offering a one-week, open institute for all interested teachers of all grade levels and content areas (you do not need to apply or be a fellow of the CUWP to attend). The institute will be held in the Provo School District Professional Development Center from 8:00am to 4:00pm during the week of July 26.

During the institute, teachers of all grade levels and subject areas will learn research-driven strategies to cultivate their students' ability to write and think successfully, engage in peer review, foster clear thinking, and facilitate inquiry.  educators will be given ideas and resources necessary to teach and model the writing process effectively in their classrooms. Teachers who attend can earn three college-level course credits or 35 re-licensure points towards renewing a Utah teaching license. The cost for this open institute will be $300 for those seeking college credit or $250 for those seeking re-licensure points.
